Košice

The Regional Directorate Košice, as the only one, manages all gauges: in total 762.870 km of standard gauge single tracks,  259.349 km of standard gauge double tracks, 98.718 km of broad gauge single tracks. It also manages 40.774 km of single tracks of the Tatra Electric Railway. There are 19 tunnels in the total length of 13.125 km, on the lines, of which 14 are single track in the length of 8.868 km and 5 are double track in the length of 4,257 km. The longest of these tunnels is Bujanovsky tunnel in the total length of 3.410 km, which is also the longest tunnel in Slovakia.
