The mission of VVÚŽ is to carry out measurement, monitoring and diagnostics for railway subsystems and their elements, as well as to carry out defectoscopy, metrology and UTZ (designated technical devices) revisions.
VVÚŽ, in accordance with the railway development strategy, coordinates and cooperates on activities within the framework of the creation and implementation of technical and innovative development of railways and solves the tasks of applied research and development.
VVÚŽ participates in the tasks arising for the railways from the legislation.
