Division interlocking and communication systems

Within the scope of its activities, the Division of interlocking and communication systems ensures and carries out the revisions on designated technical equipment of interlocking and communication systems in accordance with Decree 205/2010 Coll.

All activities are performed both for our internal customers within ŽSR and for external customers outside ŽSR.

The Department revisions interlocking and communication systems carries out and ensures the revisions of the equipment of interlocking and communication systems in the entire ŽSR infrastructure by employees at the department’s workplaces in Gelnica, Nové Zámky, Spišská Nová Ves, Vrútky, Východna and Zvolen.

The implementation of the specified activities, their scope and condition, is based on the Authorization issued by the Transport Authority, pursuant to § 17 of the Act of the National Assembly of the Slovak Republic No.513/2009 Coll. on railways for ŽSR, Railway Research and Development Institute, Žilina.

Employees of the Railway research and development institute, Žilina, Division of interlocking and communication systems, perform specified activities as professionally qualified persons – revision technicians in accordance with the Certificates of Professional Competence, issued by the Transport Authority Bratislava according to § 18 of the Act of the National Assembly of the Slovak Republic No.513/2009 Coll. on railways, which define the scope of their activities.
