Quality management

The Railway Telecommunications (ŽT) is located in Bratislava with a total of 340 employees as of 31. 01. 2020. The network of evenly distributed regional offices: Bratislava, Žilina, Nové Zámky, Zvolen, Košice and Čierna nad Tisou covers the needs of customers on the whole territory of the Slovak Republic.

Organizationally, ŽT is developed in accordance with a set model of a process-managed customer service organization.

March 2003

Granted certificate ISO 9001:2000 for quality management system in the field of the provision of telecommunication services.

December 2004

Successfully defending and extending the validity of the certificate for the entire range of telecommunication activities performed.

August 2006

In August 2006, the merger of the Railway Telecommunications and the Informatics Center and the extension of the range of products and services provided, which were successfully certified after the implementation of quality management principles – March 2008, were occurred.

March 2008

Railway Telecommunications has successfully defended and extended the scope of the validity of the certificate for the provision of telecommunication and informatics services for the entire range of activities.

March 2010

Railway Telecommunications successfully managed with the transition to the new version of ISO 9001:2008 and was granted a certificate for the quality management system according to EN ISO 9001:2008 for the provision of telecommunication and informatics services.

March 2011

In recertification audit, Railway Telecommunications successfully defended the validity of the certificate for the quality management system according to ISO 9001:2008 for the provision of telecommunication and informatics services.

March 2012

Extensive organizational changes made in July 2011 required a complete revision of the organization’s process model and quality management system. All necessary changes were implemented in the process management and verified by internal audits. The successful defence of the certificate before the certification authority confirmed the correctenss of our steps.

February 2013

Railway Telecommunications successfully passed the control audit and defended the validity of the certificate for the quality management system according to ISO 9001:2009 for the provision of telecommunication and informatics services. 

​February 2018

Railway Telecommunications successfully managed with the transition to the new version of ISO 9001:2015 and was granted a certificate for the quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015 / STN EN ISO 9001:2016 for the provision of telecommunication and informatics services.

February 2019

Within the three-year certification cycle, the Railway Telecommunications successfully passed the control audit and defended the validity of the certificate for the quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015 / STN EN ISO 9001:2016 in the field of the provision of telecommunication and informatics services.

The main benefit of the quality management system is streamlining of the management and customer processes and focusing on continually improving the satisfaction of the Railway Telecommunications customers.  By an effective centralization of the business case management with the subsequent operational distribution of operating activities in all regions of Slovakia, the ŽT customer gained more convenient and faster access to the services provided.
