About ŽT Telecommunication Network

The long-term experience of ŽT with construction and operation of various types of infrastructure is confirmed by the fact that it has built and operates the largest alternative telecommunication infrastructure in the Slovak Republic on 3300 km of railway lines.

It consists of the following types of networks:

WAN (IP/MPLS),
metropolitan networks in selected cities,
hundreds of LAN networks that connect hundreds of telecommunication objects and provide tens of thousands of voice, data and transport services.

Infrastructure supervision is ensured by own monitoring facility 24 hours daily. Infrastructure service is provided by service teams covering the entire territory of Slovakia so that they are able to remedy any failure in the short term.
