Regional directorates

Regional directorates are internal organizational units of ŽSR that are not registered in the Commercial Register. The scope of activities of a Regional Directorate within its designated territorial area is:

a) to manage, organize, and coordinate transportation operations and create the organizational conditions necessary to fulfill orders from railway infrastructure users,

b) managing entrusted railway track and structure facilities and creating conditions for their safe and reliable operation, ensuring the supply of gas and heat to ŽSR organizational units and external customers,

c) manage entrusted signaling and safety equipment and create conditions for their safe and reliable operation,

d) manage entrusted energy and electrical engineering equipment and create conditions for its safe and reliable operation; ensure the distribution of electrical energy from ŽSR distribution facilities to points of consumption; and ensure supplier-customer relationships in the field of heat,

e) perform servicing and maintenance activities on railway tracks and structures, signaling, radio communication, computing (technological), safety, and sorting equipment, fixed electric traction equipment, high-voltage, and other special electrical equipment,

f) manage, organize, and coordinate the requirements for transport vehicles and mechanization, and create the organizational conditions necessary to fulfill orders from internal users within the ŽSR network and external entities.
